"Infamy, infamy!"

Posted by Tom Bodden on April 18, 2007 10:05 AM |

Clwyd West Labour AM Alun Pugh has become a target for political opponents over some of his Assembly election campaign methods.
Mr Pugh, the culture minister, who is fighting hard to retain the highly marginal seat (maj 436), insists that he has stuck to the rules - well, mostly.
As Kenneth Williams once said: "Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me!"
UPDATE: Alun has been answering his critics and remains up for the fight.
But now he's facing allegations he, as sports minister, snubbed an important UEFA dinner in Cardiff on Tuesday night to 'carry on campaigning' in his constituency.
Clwyd West is proving a really tough battleground and there's still two weeks to go.

Today's Mirror reports that David Cameron is backing Vale of Clwyd AM Ann Jones!

If this story is newsworthy enough to make the Mirror, why not run it Tom? Have you got a grudge against Rhyl FC Tom?

Hi Welshspin,
I think that was a story which failed to make the cut in the Daily Post a few weeks back. But I'm sure Ann was delighted with the coverage she received in the Daily Post about her advert at Rhyl FC, I'm told, just the previous day.
Come on you Lilywhites!
