Gizza job!

Posted by Tom Bodden on May 18, 2007 9:31 AM |

Plaid leader Ieuan Wyn Jones is in the spotlight as the Conservatives and Lib Dems warm to his appointment as the next First Minister in Wales.
If talks are successful, three party leaders will have to ponder on their cabinet, while Labour's Rhodri Morgan could be facing resignation to make way for a new chief in opposition.
Who could be in line for a minsterial car? Here's one line-up...

FIRST MINISTER: Ieuan Wyn Jones (PC Ynys Mon)
FINANCE: Nick Bourne (Con, Mid and West)
ECONOMY: Mike German (LD, South East)
HEALTH: Helen Mary Jones (PC Llanelli)
EDUCATION: Jonathan Morgan (Con, Cardiff North)
BUSINESS: Kirsty Williams (LD, Brecon and Radnor)
ENVIRONMENT/RURAL AFFAIRS: Alun Ffred Jones (PC, Caernarfon)
SOCIAL JUSTICE: David Melding (Con, South Central)
CULTURE, WELSH LANGUAGE SPORT: Rhodri Glyn Thomas (PC, Carmarthen East)

There will be various deputy minister jobs up for grabs too, and the portfolios could change under a new government, but, hey, it's a best guess for now.
Any alternatives welcome - there's no prize.

Ooops!
Perhaps it could go with the Finance/public services portfolio, as before, or with Social Justice, or with Culture....
Fancy it, Peter?
